Role Overview

As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be the first and last line of defense in protecting our sensitive data from cyberattacks. Your role involves proactively preventing breaches, monitoring data, and recommending solutions.

  • Design broad defenses against intruders to protect company data.
  • Monitor for unusual activities and implement defensive protocols.
  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to develop new protective systems.
  • Collect data on security measures for risk analysis.
  • Regularly write systems status reports.
  • Run appropriate defensive protocols if a breach occurs.
  • Conduct testing to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with the team to update defensive protocols.
  • Configure antivirus systems, firewalls, and software updates with a security-first mindset.
  • Grant credentials to authorized users.
  • Monitor access-related activities.
  • Check for unregistered information changes.
  • Maintain knowledge of current cybercrime tactics.
  • Actively seek solutions to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Document security guidelines, procedures, and controls.

Requirements and Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. At least 5 years of professional experience managing SOX, performing security audits, vulnerability assessments, or leading information security projects. Professional Certifications (CISA, CRISC, ISC2, CISM, ITIL Practitioner or CDPSE).
