Role Overview
As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be the first and last line of defense in protecting our sensitive data from cyberattacks. Your role involves proactively preventing breaches, monitoring data, and recommending solutions.
- Design broad defenses against intruders to protect company data.
- Monitor for unusual activities and implement defensive protocols.
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to develop new protective systems.
- Collect data on security measures for risk analysis.
- Regularly write systems status reports.
- Run appropriate defensive protocols if a breach occurs.
- Conduct testing to identify vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with the team to update defensive protocols.
- Configure antivirus systems, firewalls, and software updates with a security-first mindset.
- Grant credentials to authorized users.
- Monitor access-related activities.
- Check for unregistered information changes.
- Maintain knowledge of current cybercrime tactics.
- Actively seek solutions to prevent unauthorized access.
- Document security guidelines, procedures, and controls.

Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. At least 5 years of professional experience managing SOX, performing security audits, vulnerability assessments, or leading information security projects. Professional Certifications (CISA, CRISC, ISC2, CISM, ITIL Practitioner or CDPSE).
